Patricia Mendoza is currently Director of Doña Ana Communities United (DACU). Previously, she served three terms with AmeriCorps VISTA. Her last term with AmeriCorps which ended in August 2023 was with DACU as the Mesilla Valley Timebank Coordinator. Paty holds a bachelor’s degree from NMSU in Individualized Studies with a focus in social work and history. She truly believes that the cornerstone of a joyful society is to provide and establish safe havens for the underserved and underrepresented populations. Paty was born and raised in the borderland area. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. In her free time, she enjoys coffee and spending time with her daughters and husband.
